Children s Parties 101 Part Two

Length of Party

It's important to decide how long your party is going to be in advance, so that you can provide suitable activities for the children, and also give the other Mums and Dads a time to pick their little darlings up at.  Most parties last for approximately 2 hours, but you'd be better off having a shorter party for very young (pre-school) children. Filling two hours can be quite daunting, particularly if you're on a budget, but here's some worthwhile advice:

1. Traditional party games, such as pass the parcel, musical chairs or statues etc. are always popular. If you are doing elimination games, it's always a good idea to have a bowl of sweets on hand so that children can take a sweetie as they are eliminated. I've created this blog to give parents helpful hints and tips on successful party planning. First things first, a good party needs three elements: 1. Good planning, 2. the right kind of entertainment, 3. Happy guests. Now, if you book The Magic Max Show, I can help you take care of numbers 2 and 3, and this blog's here to help you with number 1. 

Planning, and holding a party doesn't need to be a headache, or a big stressful occasion. Give yourself plenty time, and you really shouldn't have any unavoidable problems.  Of course, life never runs smoothly, and something is bound to go wrong on the day, but if and when it does, if everything else is planned and ready, you'll find that things will fall into place, and any little setbacks will be just that - a little setback.
