WHAT MAKES RAW TALENT WORKSHOPS DIFFERENT?

We understand and appreciate that every actor is different and we work with you to improve your strengths and challenge your weaknesses.

Class numbers are limited to 10* in order that you get as much 1-1 individual time as possible and all of your on-camera work and personal comments/structured advice/constructive criticism is recorded onto DVD/VHS for further home study.
* with the exception of 1-Day Improvisation which is limited to 20

Most actors leave our workshops with a clear vision for their future in the performance world. This is because most people fit into one of the following categories after completing a Raw Talent Workshop:

YES, acting is still what I want to do and these workshops have given me a renewed passion for it. I need to get my headshots done, find an agent and start auditioning.

YES, acting is what I want to do but I realise I need more experience and training. The workshops have given me confidence in my ability so I can now take the plunge and audition for full-time acting study.
* Please bear in mind that full-time study is not always necessary, many successful actors have never completed accredited training.

YES, acting is what I want to do but as a hobby, not for a living and Helen has given me advice on joining some non-professional theatre companies. I am glad I haven't wasted lots of money on headshots and industry memberships.

Headshots: These are an actor’s calling card and are an absolute necessity if you want to be a working actor. Raw Talent Productions can put you in touch with reputable photographers.

Agents: Many agents will only take you onto their books if you have an entry in Spotlight and have your Equity Card. Raw Talent Productions can assist you with any Spotlight and Equity queries and applications.

    These workshops were great - Helen helped me work on my nervous ticks and my general demeanour in auditions situations. She hit the nail right on the head! Helen is a great performer but also a brilliant teacher - she really knows her stuff and my confidence in my acting ability has increased dramatically. Helen does not patronise you and she makes you work hard - there is no time wasting in this class and you absolutely get what you pay for. I can't wait for my next audition - never thought I'd say that!

  • 5 Workshops were excellent

    I thought it was excellent overall and I did actually achieve real development with my monologue – and in three weeks of not really paying it too much attention (gulp!) that’s really quite something! Overall the course did wonders for my confidence and general speed in approaching and developing a performance from text. Would definitely recommend your workshops to anyone.

  • 4 Raw Talent Workshops

    The workshops were brilliant, fun and friendly and I learned so much. Being in front of a camera no longer scares me and I've discovered a whole new side to my talent. Helen was excellent and knows her stuff without being arrogant and patronising - she has the perfect balance and has vast experience to back up everything she is saying. I would heartily recommend these workshops to anyone.
