Abernethy House is managed by
Marilyn Nicholl B.A.,Dip.Ed.,M.Ed.(Psych),PGDip.Couns.
Marilyn Nicholl is experienced in both one to one and group counselling. In addition to working in her private practice, she has been a core tutor on Diploma level Counselling trainings. Ms Nicholl has lectured in Psychology, and in Counselling, Inter-personal Skills and Study Skills, at university and college levels, including work with The University of Edinburgh, Queen Margaret University College and Glasgow Caledonian University. Her particular expertise includes family dynamics, psychological adjustment to parenthood and work with young people.

She has been awarded full accreditation by C.O.S.C.A., (Counselling in Scotland's professional body), as a Diploma Level Counselling Trainer and adheres to their code of conduct. With regard to equal opportunities she is committed to the promotion of inclusive work practice, in terms of questions of sexual orientation, disability, race and religion.
