Tranmare Hotel

I regularly eat at this restaurant and have found the staff to be friendly, courteous and professional. I also found the food to be superb, both in taste and value. I'm afraid that your review is inaccurate to the point of bing comical. I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

I visited this restaurant with my mother and 2 children 04/03/2007. Staff surly, unfriendly and very ignorant. Food was terrible (couldn't cut burgers with knifes as they were so tough, veg served contained bits that were rotten. When I had to physically approach a mamber of staff to complain, I was simply offered another one! and treated with contempt and we were totally ignored after that. They didn't even remove our main course plates let alone even offer sweets menu or coffee's, my mother left embarresed and upset. I called to speak to the manager of the hotel today and according to him there was nothing wrong with the food or service. I myself worked for over ten years in the catering and hotel trade and managed in 2 5* hotels and I have never witnessed such an unproffessional attitude. The mangager made no attempt to apologise for the upset that this caused, he clearly didn't care less. I would avoid this rstaurant at all costs.
